BOWGLASS is Pierre Bowring
I found glass blowing early in college. When I walked into the shop in Richmond, VA, it was love at first sight. Color and form are what continue to interest my in the material. Also where the piece of glass lives on is very important to me. Making a cup isn’t just a cup to me. Creating a bowl is not just a bowl. It’s how it’s used, shared, and gifted that really matters to me. Sharing a drink with a friend is everything to me. Sitting down after a long day and pouring a delicious beverage in a cup is important to me. Potentially having these vases and bowls passed down to different generations. Glass is an amazing material, it’s hard, it’s physical and it’s magical. And not for one second ever take it for granted.
